GstDynamicTypeFactory is used to represent a type that can be automatically loaded the first time it is used. For example, a non-standard type for use in caps fields.

In general, applications and plugins don't need to use the factory beyond registering the type in a plugin init function. Once that is done, the type is stored in the registry, and ready as soon as the registry is loaded.

Get the GType of the DynamicTypeFactory class

asParent

protected DynamicTypeFactory asParent()

Returns this instance as if it were its parent type. This is mostly synonymous to the Java super keyword, but will set the native typeclass function pointers to the parent type. When overriding a native virtual method in Java, "chaining up" with super.methodName() doesn't work, because it invokes the overridden function pointer again. To chain up, call asParent().methodName(). This will call the native function pointer of this virtual method in the typeclass of the parent type.
