GstAudioFilter is a GstBaseTransform<!-- -->-derived base class for simple audio filters, ie. those that output the same format that they get as input.

GstAudioFilter will parse the input format for you (with error checking) before calling your setup function. Also, elements deriving from GstAudioFilter may use gst_audio_filter_class_add_pad_templates() from their class_init function to easily configure the set of caps/formats that the element is able to handle.

Derived classes should override the GstAudioFilterClass.setup() and GstBaseTransformClass.transform_ip() and/or GstBaseTransformClass.transform() virtual functions in their class_init function.

AudioFilter

Create a AudioFilter proxy instance for the provided memory address.

Parameters:

address - the memory address of the native object

AudioFilter

Creates a new AudioFilter.

asParent

protected AudioFilter asParent()

Returns this instance as if it were its parent type. This is mostly synonymous to the Java super keyword, but will set the native typeclass function pointers to the parent type. When overriding a native virtual method in Java, "chaining up" with super.methodName() doesn't work, because it invokes the overridden function pointer again. To chain up, call asParent().methodName(). This will call the native function pointer of this virtual method in the typeclass of the parent type.
