extends Clock

The GStreamer core provides a GstSystemClock based on the system time. Asynchronous callbacks are scheduled from an internal thread.

Clock implementors are encouraged to subclass this systemclock as it implements the async notification.

Subclasses can however override all of the important methods for sync and async notifications to implement their own callback methods or blocking wait operations.

SystemClock

Create a SystemClock proxy instance for the provided memory address.

Parameters:

address - the memory address of the native object

SystemClock

Creates a new SystemClock.

getType

Get the GType of the SystemClock class

getMemoryLayout

The memory layout of the native struct.

asParent

protected SystemClock asParent()

Returns this instance as if it were its parent type. This is mostly synonymous to the Java super keyword, but will set the native typeclass function pointers to the parent type. When overriding a native virtual method in Java, "chaining up" with super.methodName() doesn't work, because it invokes the overridden function pointer again. To chain up, call asParent().methodName(). This will call the native function pointer of this virtual method in the typeclass of the parent type.

obtain

Get a handle to the default system clock. The refcount of the clock will be increased so you need to unref the clock after usage.

Returns:

the default clock.

setDefault

Sets the default system clock that can be obtained with gst_system_clock_obtain().

This is mostly used for testing and debugging purposes when you want to have control over the time reported by the default system clock.
